Donald Trump’s criminal trial continued on Tuesday, starting with the judge ordering the defendant to pay a $9,000 fine for breaching a gag order and being in contempt of court.

On the third week of the hush-money trial, Justice Merchan has found the former president willfully violated the court’s gag order in 9 of the 10 contempt charges levelled against him by prosecutors.
