Sports and Recreation Center (SRC) – Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology

Because being your best includes feeling your best, we have great athletic and fitness facilities for our students and authorized members of our community.
Our facilities are well suited to give you a break from your tough academic schedule. Whether you like swimming, running, biking, shooting hoops or playing team sports, we’ve got what you need!
Rose-Hulman students are nothing if not diverse in their interests. We offer more than two dozen club sports on campus, covering everything from badminton and bowling to volleyball and yoga. We know you’ll find a club you’ll love!
The Intramural Program is an exciting part of student life at Rose-Hulman. The program provides students, faculty and staff the opportunity to stay active, get in shape, and most importantly, have fun! We currently offer 30 events, tournaments, and leagues throughout the year.
Our Human Performance Services will help you get started exercising or supplement your current exercise program. And don’t forget about the numerous exercise classes offered in the multi-purpose room!

We are proud that the SRC fulfills so many useful purposes. In addition to serving as a great place to keep fit and enjoy sports, our facility is also used for charitable events, educational competitions, and much more. To reserve a court or room in the SRC, please contact the Coordinator for Recreational Sports and Athletic Facilities Kelly Keyes at 812-877-8466 or at keyes1@rose-hulman.edu.
Apart from special events arranged in advance with the SRC Staff, use of the SRC is restricted.
Who can use the SRC?
Director of Recreational Sports and Athletic Facilities, Seth Woodason has a total of more than nine years of experience at Rose-Hulman where he has advanced the institute’s health and fitness priorities. While earning his master’s degree in recreation and sports management at Indiana State University, Seth served as a graduate assistant at Rose before returning to campus full time in 2015. He earned his undergraduate degree from Harding University and also attended the University of Evansville and Gonzaga University.

The SRC is now accepting applications for Affiliate ID Cards for family members* of Rose-Hulman faculty or staff, retired faculty, and staff, alumni, Board of Trustees members, or members of the Racquetball Club.
Affiliate ID cards are for patrons who are not current students, faculty, or staff members of RHIT.

*Family members are defined as a spouse/partner or dependent children under the age of 18, except in the case of a full-time college student taking a minimum of 12 college credit hours. The family members of faculty, staff, board of trustees, and alumni have the privilege of using the facility. However, the family member must obtain an Affiliate ID card prior to their first visit to the SRC after the RHIT student, faculty, or staff member has submitted the form for approval. Children under the age of 18 are not permitted to use the facility unless under the direct supervision of a Rose-Hulman host 18 years of age or older. Children under the age of 18 are not eligible for the Affiliate ID. There will be no exceptions. Hours for family use of the Sports and Recreation Center are the same as regular users.
