Brad Nessler, Gary Danielson and Jenny Dell Return as Lead Announce Team
Super Bowl Champion Jason McCourty and Tiffany Blackmon to Join CBS Sports’ Coverage
2023 Season Kicks off Saturday, Aug. 26 with ‘Week Zero’ on CBS Sports Network;
CBS Television Network and Paramount+ Kick Off Week 1 with Two Big Ten Matchups
CBS Sports unveiled its game announcer and studio lineups ahead of the 2023 college football season for games airing on the CBS Television Network and streaming on Paramount+, as well as CBS Sports Network.
Brad Nessler, Gary Danielson, and Jenny Dell will return as lead announce team covering CBS Sports’ marquee game of the week, led by its traditional 3:30 PM, ET timeslot on the CBS Television Network. Their first game of the season is Ohio State at Indiana on Saturday, Sept. 2 (3:30 PM, ET).
A pair of new CBS Sports announcers – Super Bowl champion Jason McCourty and sideline reporter Tiffany Blackmon – will join Tom McCarthy to call select games on CBS throughout the season. McCarthy additionally will work on occasion with Ross Tucker.
Adam Zucker returns as host of COLLEGE FOOTBALL TODAY, CBS Sports’ pregame, halftime and postgame studio show, and will be joined for the ninth consecutive season by analysts Brian Jones and Rick Neuheisel.
Rich Waltz and Aaron Taylor return as CBS Sports Network’s lead announce team and also will call select games on CBS. They’ll be joined by a mix of sideline reporters throughout the season, including Blackmon, Amanda Guerra, Justin Walters and Brandon Baylor. Chris Lewis and Tucker also will call games on CBS Sports Network, in addition to one game on CBS.
Coverage on CBS Sports Network this season will feature seven new voices overall. Former NFL wide receiver Jordan Kent will serve as a play-by-play announcer. Brock Vereen, Taylor McHargue and Adam Breneman join as game analysts, while Blackmon, Emily Proud and Keiana Martin will contribute as sideline reporters.
On CBS Sports Network, John Sadak and Kent will rotate play-by-play duties for Navy football and be joined by analyst Randy Cross and sideline reporter Sheehan Stanwick Burch. The team of Lewis, Tucker and reporter Tina Cervasio will split the network’s six Army games with Dave Ryan, Breneman and Cervasio.
Additional play-by-play announcers for CBS Sports Network in 2023 will include Carter Blackburn, Ed Cohen, Chick Hernandez, Alex Del Barrio, Jason Knapp and Michael Grady. They’ll be joined by analysts Robert Turbin, Malik Zaire, Donte Whitner and Christian Fauria throughout the season.
CBS Sports Network’s live weekend studio coverage is anchored by Brent Stover, who alongside returning analysts Kevin Carter and Danny Kanell, will provide comprehensive pregame, halftime and postgame coverage.
INSIDE COLLEGE FOOTBALL, CBS Sports Network’s flagship college football studio show, will return for a 21st season with its weekly two-hour program. The first episode is scheduled to air at 9:00 PM, ET on Wednesday, Aug. 30, with subsequent episodes airing on Tuesday nights throughout the season. Coverage is anchored by host Zucker, who is joined by Neuheisel, Jones, Cross and Taylor.
