In an embarrassing incident for Pakistan, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was trolled on social media platforms for snatching an umbrella from a woman officer in Paris. The video of the incident went viral on the internet.
The incident took place when PM Sharif had arrived in Paris to attend the summit on New Global Financial Pact in Paris, France.
Pakistan PM reached the venue and was getting down from his car amid heavy rainfall. In the video, it can be seen that Shehbaz Sharif snatched the umbrella from the lady officer who looked surprised by his action.
Upon arrival at Palais Brogniart to attend the Summit for a New Global Financial Pact, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif was received by Ms. Catherine Colonna, France’s Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, PMO said on the microblogging site.

Since being posted, the video accumulated over 266k views, and numerous reactions in the comment section.
“Act Snatching an umbrella from a girl & let her soak in rain is a form of utmost disrespect and if committed by the PM of a country, it becomes a national embarrassment. Please ask your army not to select these kind of as your PM going forward,” a user commented.
Another user wrote, “What was the need for taking the umbrella from his usher? She was assigned to escort him to the enterence while doing so he left her behind umbrella less. His intentions may have been good but how unthoughtful.”
“Why did he leave the woman in the rain? Shehbaz sharif is such an embarrassment. Yaaar kis cartoon ko PM bana diya hai inho ne,” a third user reacted.
“What an Embarrassment! Ladki se Umbrella leke bhaag gaya,” a fourth user said. One more wrote, “He left the Women in the Rain. Such an embarrassment he is to Pakistan. #ShehbazSharif.”
