Pakistan army vows action against protestors, arsonists; to invoke under army laws – India Today – India Today

Intensifying the crackdown on rioters, protesters arsonists who stormed properties after the arrest of Imran Khan, the Pakistan military said that charges under Army Act would be invoked. 

Khan's arrest by the Pakistan Rangers at the Islamabad High Court premises last Tuesday triggered unrest in Pakistan that continued till Friday and led to several deaths and dozens of military and state installations being damaged by the protesters.

Taking aim at Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Sachin Pilot-led camp alleged that the allegation against Congress MLA Ved Prakash was falsely implicated.
Pakistan's ruling coalition Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) stage protests to stage discontent with the judiciary, including the Supreme Court.
