Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers is taking a deep bite of the Big Apple.
The new quarterback of New York’s little brother NFL franchise has spent time last night and today at Madison Square Garden in support of one of the local hockey teams — and one of the local basketball teams.
Rodgers attended the Rangers playoff game on Saturday night, and the Knicks playoff game on Sunday. He’s fortunate the Milwaukee Bucks have been eliminated; he owns three percent of the team.
It’s smart. It’s prudent. And it’s good business. By embracing the local teams and being visible, the bond with the fans strengthens.
The stronger it is now, the better chance it will have to survive the stress that comes from the possibility of performances that fall short of the high bar that has accompanied his arrival.
As a Packers fan, I wish only the best to him and the Jets.
enjoy it now AR because by October the Jets will be Woodstock 99
If you have money and can afford it NYC is a great place to live. Many premium dinner and entertainment options.
It didn’t take him long to embrace the NY sports scene after his ‘supposed’ heartfelt farewell post to us on his social media accounts. Makes one wonder how genuine that farewell post was.
Yeah he’s putting in the hard work sitting court side at these prime playoff games. What a guy.
It’s all going to come crashing down when the Jets end up in last place in the AFC East.
Next step is for Rodgers to embrace the New Jersey sports scene which is home to his Jets.
It’s simply more of Aaron feeding his ego. Look at me oh look at me
He’ll be watching from the sidelines when the giants make the playoffs next year.
He’s seen the lights go out on Broadway
I got a feeling after this season he’s gonna wish he’d made this move years ago.
Give the guy a break and all the haters should treat this like what it is, a fresh start. Let’s give the guy a chance in NY before pasing judgment on his attitude and his supposed reputation in GB.

Give it a few losses and a few questions from the press.
The Title… “Aaron Rogers has quickly embraced the New York sports scene”
….Wait 10 minutes.
Like the Sorenson Sisters, he put a hex on the Knicks.

Rodgers is just R-E-L-A-X ing. After 18 years in a small pond, he is enjoying the big city. For the sale of Jets fans, hope he realizes no one cares what he does off the field. Anything but a SB win is a disaster.
As a long time packers fan I am glad he finally left those bunch of useless in packers management. thanks god in 18 months murphy, gutekunst, lafleur, love will all be gone. Rodgers is smart and is the greatest QB in packers history and still has something in the tank,I will be a jets fan next year

He jinxed the Knicks.
I thought I was done hearing about him every waking minute. Sigh….,,and the beat goes on, and the beat goes on.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Maybe, if he had been in Green Bay, which he was not.
“It’s smart. It’s prudent. And it’s good business.”
You mean it’s calculating, right?
It will endear him to the fan base here in New York for a hot minute, but if he doesn’t win it ain’t gonna mean squadoosh.
Little mikey. Tried so hard to get the Jets to fleece the franchise who has absolutely owned and outclassed his tiny vikings during their course of existence. Didn’t work. The all world qb who owned little Mikey’s team could have helped little mikey by robbing the team who has dominated little Mikeys favorite purple fella’s. And that didn’t work either. And then little mikey controls the media of his website like little Kim Jong un and it keeps back firing and back firing and back firing just like it does against all of those who control the media to fit their needs. Literally so hilarious the way he keeps failing – and so awesome the way karma keeps working. Your wallet is full little mikey – but your character is totally empty. Your father would be absolutely ashamed at your noodle spine.
Well, that sucks for New Jersey…the place where Aaron actually will be working & playing. And probably living too.
I’d like to see Aaron hang out in Newark or Piscataway.
This happens in Detroit daily. Every pro team has the others back. Aaron is not used to playing in an actual city
A turd dipped in gold is still a turd.
He should thank God that Brady isn’t in that division any more.
After 2 decades of having the circus coming to town or judging the regional 4H competition is the only local attraction or appearances to be be made for the star QB, no surprise there’s some liberation for him by going somewhere where there’s actually something relevant going on.
After an 0-4 start the fans won’t embrace him.
The New York tabloids are gonna have a field day with this clown once he loses two games in a row – which should be by the end of September…
But is he a Mets or Yankees guy? That’s the important question
As a Viking fan who has seen Arron play us in minny and beat us a lot, but not own us like the bears and lions,i think he will do well in NY . He never got over the horrible drafting of Love and the huge Rb when other choices to continue the SB run were available.

Imagine being so dumb that you think a vaccine is a conspiracy theory, even as it saves lives daily. Imagine liking a guy because he LIED about his vax status and put others in danger. Just makes me smh
After the Knicks lost to the Heat, Rodgers was talking to Kevin Love and the Heat.. not the Knicks…. but keep the narrative going lol
Just a matter of time before the delicate genius shows up…

Until we discover those untested vaccines are not only dangerous, but ineffective.
As someone who has never been further east then Ohio, I always heard if you were a jets fan it came with the Mets, Yankees and giants go together.

Imagine being so dumb to just blindly believe whatever the establishment tells you to believe? And now despite all evidence to the contrary, still holding the line on the efficacy and safety of the vaccines
The Jets will still be 7-10 w/ Rodgers. they will choke again just like last year. 1969 is a
long time ago.
These kind of stories really help one cope with how badly they overpaid for a 40 year old rental.
Leverage – it doesn’t mean what Jets fans thought it meant.
“He’s fortunate the Milwaukee Bucks have been eliminated; he owns three percent of the team.”
How is it fortunate? The team he owns 3 percent of is no longer making money this year? Would you feel fortunate if people stopped coming here?

Just curious if you give credit to the correct person for that vax?
Why do I get the feeling allot of guys on here lost money against Aaron Rodgers?
Between being a vegan and sports scene outside of FB… there wasn’t much to embrace in GB.
It was probably a suggestion from Mother Earth to him that he embrace the other local franchises…but it should’ve been in complete darkness.
It’s good for elderly people to try new things.
Oh Lord. Now we’ll read every single move Ms Aaron makes in NY. ?
If he had been traded here to Cleveland he could just sit on the beach and look at the lake. Our teams suck.
Has been heavily criticized by Florio and Simms for being ultra conservative in his approach because he wants to protect his stats. Pump the brakes Jets fans, stay in your lane. Its the defense that will win games not a Captain check down quarterback.
There’s a collective calmness among the Green Bay faithful. I wonder why that is?

I agree. I’d much rather get my Covid information from my fishing buddy or my wife’s hairdresser than scientists, healthcare professionals, institutes of higher learning, or virologists that study this stuff for a living. Every “conspiracy” I’ve ever entertained couldn’t make its way out of a room with six people in it, but this one is worldwide. Sure.
Please do two things; explain the necessity of your conspiracy theory and please produce all evidence to the contrary that you have.
We’ll wait.

Just like the people who criticize Chicago have never been there, you have never been to New York City. I’m sure that the cultural and entertainment capital of the world does not appeal to you.
Aaron is one of the few people who could be shown on the kiss-cam by himself during intermission and do just fine.
Rich. In New York with connections, so he got to sit at the glass during hockey games and on the floor at the Nicks games. Absolutely everyone in that position would go to the games.
He’s not embracing New York. He’s embracing being in a place where his money means everything.
Yeah, it’s got to be nice to have a front office that doesn’t roll their eyes in disgust every time they see him.
This isn’t always the case. Any die-hard Brooklyn Dodgers or New York Giants baseball fan gave up the game until the Mets. They’d never have turned to the Yankees. So they passed that on to their kids. I’m a Mets/Giants/Rangers fan, which is not that uncommon. The Jets/Yankees fan you don’t see too often though.

After the second weekend in January, when the JEST are home watching the playoffs, the NY/NJ faithful will want his head………
I suspect it will all be ducks and bunnies until the Jets and Rodgers hit a rough patch, although I really question all harping about the excess media scrutiny stuff between GB vs NY. There may be more NY media, but in GB its only football all the time, while NY media has a bazillion things going on with the collective attention span of a gnat.
I am looking forward to observing how Rodgers deals with the Big Apple coverage of his first bad game. Should be just as entertaining as the games themselves.
